TrentaHost is moving from our flagship location in Portland, Oregon, to Los Angeles, CA -- this is a massive migration and with anything technology-related related there will be hiccups along the way. However, we have done a lot of extensive background preparation to ensure everything goes smoothly. Please be patient with us and trust us with your business, like you have for all these years. We will update our timeline below as we progress.

June 2, 2025 00:00HRS - Clients were notified via email regarding the migration below.
June 2, 2025 01:00HRS - Datacenter preparation in LA. Rack, stack and networking completed and final checks.
June 6, 2025 00:00HRS - Migration of Management, Control Panel Servers & Polling Servers Started.
June 7, 2025 19:00HRS - Migration of Management, Control Panel Servers & Polling Servers Completed.
June 7, 2025 19:00HRS - MIGRATION OF PORTAL - Commenced
June 8, 2025 12:00HRS - MIGRATION OF VPS COMMENCED - You may notice your VPS going offline.
June 8, 2025 16:30HRS - VM Migrations are still in process... VMs will turn on after migration.
June 8, 2025 23:00HRS - VPS Migrations are COMPLETED, all VPSs should be online -- if you have issues, please open a support ticket.
June 8, 2025 23:00HRS - We are now starting the PREP of the Shared Hosting web server.
June 9, 2025 21:00HRS - Shared Hosting Migration has started, expect your website to go offline during the migration. We are starting it now, as most businesses should be outside operating hours.
June 9, 2025 21:00HRS - Dedicated Server Clients, you should have received an email asking to confirm your migration. Please respond ASAP, migrating a Dedicated Server is YOUR responsibility, failure to respond to us will result in DATA loss.
June 10, 2025 01:00HRS —The WebHosting server is still migrating. Most clients should not notice any issues post-migration. If you do, please reach out to our TEAM. We just emailed everyone with information for the IPs; in most cases, you don't have to make any changes. However, if you are in doubt, please email us at [email protected] or open a ticket, and our team will guide you.
June 10, 2025 08:30HRS - MIGRATION OF PORTAL - Completed.
June 10, 2025 11:00HRS - The Shared Hosting Node is still being migrated, we are hoping for it to finish in the next 1-3 hours. It's all dependent on the amount of data that needs to be migrated.
June 10, 2025 14:00HRS - Shared Hosting migration has been COMPLETED. All websites should be online. If you have any issues, please see the email we sent out last night. However, you can always open a ticket for our assistance.
June 10, 2025 15:00HRS - We are still working with Dedicated Server clients to migrate their servers. Please be patient with us as we are waiting on a shipment of SSD drives.
June 14, 2025 23:59HRS - The migration is fully completed. If you have any issues, please open a support ticket.
Migration Details:
Date: Wednesday, June 4th, 2025
Start Time: 21:00 HRS Eastern Standard Time.
End Time: N/A (Depending on DATA Migration) - Expected Completion: Sunday, June 15th, 2025
Duration: The migration will elapse a few hours while all the data is being migrated - we will update IPs to the new server on our end. If you are using our nameservers PTL1.TRENTAHOST.COM / PTL2.TRENTAHOST.COM you should notice little to no impact, and no changes are required from your end. However, if you do use Cloudflare or directly point to an IP, please see above and change to our new SHARED IP. If you have a DEDICATED IP Address - You also DO NOT need to make any changes.
Affected Services: cPanel hosting services, including websites, emails, databases, and control panel access. This should be intermittent as we will be performing a LIVE Transfer.

During the Migration:
- - Downtime: There may be a brief period of downtime during the migration process as we transfer your data to the new server. We will strive to minimize any inconvenience.
- - Email Delivery: While unlikely, there is a possibility of delayed email delivery during the migration. We recommend checking your emails after the migration is complete.

POST MIGRATION COMMON ISSUES & FIXES
USING CLOUDFLARE? (Web Hosting Clients ONLY)
Please access Cloudflare -> DNS and change your IP to your new SHARED IP [PENDING] for every record with the old IP. If you have a Dedicated IP, your website should continue working without any changes required from your end.
500 ERROR / WHITE PAGE
If you are getting the above 500 ERROR, it means you are missing a PHP option/addon.. Please check your error_log and ensure all required PHP values are enabled with the right PHP version in cPanel under PHP Selector. If you have diffuclties, please open a support ticket.
Initial Email Release:
We’re writing to inform you of an upcoming infrastructure upgrade and data center migration that will impact all TrentaHost services currently hosted in our Portland, Oregon, facility.
After years of reliable service in Portland, we’ve decided to relocate our infrastructure to a new, high-performance data center in Los Angeles, California. This strategic move is designed to deliver faster connectivity, especially for clients and their users in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia. It also enables us to refresh and upgrade our hardware across all service lines.
While Portland has served us well since our inception, the rising costs of maintaining operations there no longer align with our goal of providing high-value, cost-effective hosting. Rather than passing those costs on to you, we’re investing in a smarter, more scalable future.
Web Hosting & VPS Clients
- Migration Timeline: Migrations will begin the evening of Wednesday, June 4th, 2025, and continue into the weekend.
- Minimal Downtime: We will perform migrations during low-traffic hours to limit any business impact.
- Server IP Changes: Shared hosting clients will not notice any difference in IPs. You will receive an email with the server's new IPs once the migration is complete.
- Clients with Dedicated IPs: If your hosting account uses a dedicated IP, it will remain the same – but there may be a small window of downtime while we route the IP blocks over.
- No Action Required: We will move all data and configurations on your behalf.
- Support Availability: Our support team will be actively monitoring the migration and is available around the clock to assist with any questions or concerns.
- CDN Clients: If you use CloudFlare or any other CDN that routes traffic you will need to change the IP address to our new Shared IP if you are a shared IP client.
Dedicated Server Clients
Our team will be reaching out to schedule your migration individually. Since we are getting newer servers – your data will need to be migrated by you. There will be no physical migrations of disks or servers. We aim to have all dedicated servers moved by June 15, 2025.
