We are excited to announce that we will be migrating all cPanel hosting customers to a brand-new server. This migration is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the speed, reliability, and overall performance of our hosting services.

 

Migration Timeline: 

 

2100HRS (2023-03-22) - Migration has commenced. Our team is all hands on deck. 

0250HRS (2024-03-23) - Migration is making good progress and data is being moved over. 

0409HRS (2024-03-23) - Migration is still in progress, we are at 15% completion currently and working through tickets. Please be advised our responses may be delayed due to an influx of support tickets. Please view the common fixes below to solve the majority of issues, if you are still having problems please open a ticket. If you are seeing your website as "SUSPENDED", this means you are loading the old server. If you are not using our default nameservers below -- and using a 3rd party service or custom nameservers, please change your pointing IP to the shared IP below -- or to your dedicated IP (if applicable). 

0925HRS (2024-03-23) - All DATA has been transferred over (accounts/databases). We will now work on getting the features added back (Litespeed, Jetbackup, Billing etc..). You may notice sudden issues with accessing the website at times.

1145HRS (2024-03-23) - We are now working on assigning Dedicated IP, Jetbackup and getting cPanel Login Access restored -- if you are experiencing any issues since the migration please OPEN A TICKET ASAP

 

Migration Details:

 

Date: Friday, March 22, 2024

Start Time: 2100HRS Eastern Standard Time.

End Time: N/A (Dependant on DATA Migration)

Duration: The migration will elapse a few hours while all the data is being migrated - we will update IPs to the new server on our end. If you are using our nameservers PTL1.TRENTAHOST.COM / PTL2.TRENTAHOST.COM you should notice little to no impact and no changes are required from your end. However, if you do use Cloudflare or directly point to an IP, please see above and change to our new SHARED IP. If you have a purchase DEDICATED IP - You also DO NOT need to make any changes.

Affected Services: cPanel hosting services, including websites, emails, databases, and control panel access. This should be intermittent as we will be performing a LIVE Transfer.

During the Migration:

  • -          Downtime: There may be a brief period of downtime during the migration process as we transfer your data to the new server. We will strive to minimize any inconvenience.
  • -          Email Delivery: While unlikely, there is a possibility of delayed email delivery during the migration. We recommend checking your emails after the migration is complete.

USING CLOUDFLARE?

Please access Cloudflare -> DNS and change your IP to your new SHARED IP [198.12.15.138] for every record with the old IP. If you have a Dedicated IP your website should continue working without any issues.

 

500 ERROR / WHITE PAGE

If you are getting the above 500 ERROR, it means you are missing a PHP option. Please check your error_log and ensure all required PHP values are enabled with the right PHP version in cPanel under PHP Selector.
